At the Royal Berkshire, our urology team brings together leading consultants and specialist nurses in delivering world-class care across a wide range of conditions. These include: bladder conditions, cancers, urinary stone disease, complex Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), incontinence to male infertility and erectile dysfunction, we offer advanced diagnostics and treatments for both adults and children.
Our services are available at advanced facilities across Berkshire and South Oxfordshire. We are proud to offer a full suite of on-site support services at our main hospital in Reading, allowing us to safely manage more complex cases that may not be accessible elsewhere, and to provide comprehensive care under one roof.
Most of our urology procedures take place in our Frederick Potts Unit, a £11 million building which opened in 2025. The Frederick Potts Unit is made up of spacious waiting areas, examination rooms, an ultrasound scanning suite and large treatment room.
Our Urology consultants work as part of a partnership, creating a unique group of specialists who cover all aspects of urology. This means that no matter what the condition, from common issues to complex and rare problems, we have a consultant who specialises in that area. This ensures our patients receive care from an expert at the forefront of their field.
This team allows for the best patient care, rising beyond a general urology practice, providing multi-disciplinary care where our patients benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of the entire team.
Please note: We only accept referrals from registered clinicians. For further information about the services we offer, please get in touch with our Private Patients team directly.
