Background

Miss Johanna Thomas is Consultant Urologist with a specialist interest in Paediatric Urology and Kidney stone disease. She graduated from Imperial College London with a Distinction, obtaining the highest mark in the surgical exam and winning the Glazer Prize in Surgery.

She was appointed as a Consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2018 after completing her training at hospitals in Oxford, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. As part of her training she completed a year-long fellowship in Paediatric Urology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

She has presented and published her research she carried out during her fellowship at numerous national and international meetings.

She also has a particular interest in Kidney and bladder stone disease, Lower urinary tract problems and Urinary tract infections. She performs over 100 ureteroscopies per year for kidney and ureteric stones.
