Background

Mr Cherko is an ENT consultant with subspecialist expertise in head and neck surgery, laryngology, and paediatric ENT. Areas of clinical interest include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland disease, and disorders of voice, swallow and breathing. He treats patients of all ages and serves as ENT Clinical Lead at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Beyond clinical work he has a keen interest in medical education and training with particular focus on emergency simulation-based training, through his faculty role on national resuscitation courses. He has also co-authored book chapters on thyroid and voice surgery, and has presented at and chaired panels at international conferences in these fields.
