Background

Miss Baljinder Kaur Chohan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who supports women with a wide range of gynaecological concerns, particularly those affecting everyday health and wellbeing.

She has over nine years' experience as a consultant at Royal Berkshire Hospital, where she also holds a joint Clinical Lead role. Baljinder qualified from University College London and completed her specialist training in the Thames Valley, building broad experience across benign gynaecology and early pregnancy care.

Baljinder has particular expertise in gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound scanning, as well as outpatient hysteroscopy. These skills allow her to assess symptoms carefully, often providing clarity and reassurance during the same appointment. Baljinder focuses on clear explanations so patients understand both what is happening and why.

In clinic, Baljinder is known for her calm, supportive manner. She understands that gynaecological symptoms can be worrying or disruptive, and takes time to listen, answer questions and tailor management plans to each patient's individual needs and circumstances.

Patients often value her balanced approach, combining clinical thoroughness with warmth and understanding. As a mother of two, Baljinder brings an added appreciation of the realities many women face when juggling health concerns with busy lives. Consultations can be offered in English and Punjabi.
