Background

Dr Apryll Chase is a Consultant Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in women’s health. She provides expert care across a broad spectrum of gynaecological conditions, including heavy or irregular periods, fibroids, menopause and perimenopause, early pregnancy complications, and abnormal cervical screening results.

Dr Chase is an experienced colposcopist and offers advanced assessment and management for women with abnormal smears or cervical cell changes, ensuring clarity, safety, and continuity of care from diagnosis to treatment.


At the Royal Berkshire Hospital, she leads the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology service and oversees clinical governance for the department. Her specialist interests include ultrasound diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery, and modern outpatient models that make women’s healthcare more efficient and accessible.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Chase is a dedicated educator and innovator. She contributes to national training programmes, mentors healthcare professionals, and advises on service design for women’s health.
