The Royal Berkshire Hospital proudly offer a private Travel Vaccination Service, where our highly trained team are able to offer in-depth consultations to assess and educate on travel health needs. We are also able to administer vaccinations, in a safe and welcoming environment.
The Vaccination Centre at Royal Berkshire Hospital is a highly regarded department within the Trust. With an experienced and specially trained team, we dedicate our time to administer preventative medicines and offer education to help keep our population safe from preventable illness.
A service we offer privately is a specialised Travel Health Service, where the public are able to attend pre-booked one-to-one consultations with one of our senior nurse vaccinators, who are able to discuss travel plans and recommended precautions.
All our vaccinators are qualified senior nurses, with a wealth of knowledge around travel health, who are able to recognise possible contraindications to travel medications, consider existing health conditions and offer advice in the aftercare needed post treatment.
We are proud to be a Yellow Fever registered clinic, offering the vaccination and the recognised certification needed for travel in affected areas, or medical exemption certificates if required.
Our consultations take place within the purpose-built Vaccination Centre, based on Level 2 of the South Block of the hospital.
