Professor Ruparelia is a consultant cardiologist working at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, and the Hammersmith Hospital, London. He has specialist expertise in the management of all aspects of cardiovascular disease with a sub-specialist interest in complex coronary artery angioplasty and structural heart intervention.  

He is the author of 150 publications and with academic interests spanning basic science, translation research and clinical trials.
